Generali to Pick French Donnet as CEO

Generali, Italy’s largest insurer, will name Philippe Donnet chief executive, replacing Mario Greco who left in January to head up Zurich Insurance, according to people with direct knowledge of the matter. Mr Donnet, a Frenchman who sits on the board of Vivendi, will be the first non-Italian to head the group. Donnet is currently the CEO of Generali Italia and is expected to resign his role on Vivendi’s board following the appointment.
