Boards to Prove Their Strategies to Long Term Investors

The tone is changing at corporate boards and corporations, following an explosion in activist hedge funds, says Colin Wittmer.  25% of U.S. public companies are dealing with an activist investor but companies are more prepared than ever before to deal with activism. Companies must utilize their deep knowledge of their businesses, presenting value and unique capabilities and being as transparent as possible to engage with long-term shareholders in an effort to stave off activists.
