Two-thirds of FTSE companies admit they have been hit by a cyber breach or attack in the past year, but half of boardrooms only hear about cyber risks occasionally or when there is an incident, according to a government sponsored report. The latest FTSE Cyber Governance Health Check survey, which was carried out by KPMG, revealed that boardrooms lack understanding because they do not have good information on the subject. In many boardrooms think they have it under control, but they might miss new threats because they focus heavily on governance and compliance.
