EU Referendum: Nine Out of Ten Economists Say Brexit Will Damage Economy

An overwhelming majority of economists at British universities believe that the debate around the UK leaving the EU will be damaging both to the value of the pound and the economy as a whole, according to a newly published survey. More than 90 per cent of the academics questioned by the Centre for Macroeconomics at the London School of Economics agreed that the possibility of Brexit would cause uncertainty in the markets and pose other economic risks.
